In my opinion (please do not bite me) but I have already thought of top 3 sadder moments.

3. Piccolo's first death (It showed what I thought was impossible(after everything he did in Dragonball), Piccolo actually cared for someone. "Go get em Gohan.."

2. Android 16's death- After the most heart warming speech ever (pay attention society) he is crushed in such a barbaric fashion.

1. Future Gohan's death- The music and the scenery sums it up. The darkest and most hopeless moment in DBZ history.

He didn't teleport back, because he wanted Gohan to be Earth's guardian.

@TimeBreaker1987 That was a sad death.. Potentially it could have been better. I think it was ruined because of Goku's strangled sounding "PICCOLO!" Which was surprising because Kid Goku's reaction to Krillin's first death in Dragonball was incredibly heartbreaking :/ But yeah :/ Gone for keeps.

GT sucks. Using awesome characters as plot devices.. makes me sick -_-

They sure did. And I will tell you why, because they brought him back. How am I supposed to take losing Goku seriously !!!! :/

@ruaridh2k7 Definitely some of the saddest moments, but my #1 would be (if we count in GT) Piccolo's death in GT though, that's one of the few clips I accidentially watched before planning to see the GT episodes and all the time I was like "No, no,.. No, this is a joke, this is fake..".

Ah whatever, GT is non-canon and non-Toriyama, never gonna watch the full episodes, it just pollutes my childhood.

BTW, I think they missed out lots of potential with Goku's sacrifice against Cell.

@RoyNova2453 You hit it strong amigo. The fact that Gohan fought a battle well beyond him with 1 arm and put up a good fight and was then literally destroyed for his only friend to find his broken body in a grisly beaten area.. it was to much for me to handle :/

And god.. that music :'(

He knew his death would make a better future. He died a hero. Gotta love DBZ !

I agree in full. I was saying when #1 hit that it better be Future Trunks loosing Gohan. You are right. It was a scene showing absolute hopelessness. It made me cry when I watched the movie. He was Trunks' only friend and person that he could talk to, because they were the same (Sayian Hybrids). When he started crying from loosing him, I bawled with him. It was like watching someone loose the most important figure in their life.

ok why does vegeta always call himself the prince of all sayans? If his father is dead wouldnt that make him king technically and then trunks would be prince?
