You are looking at an original 1923 Trolley Car totally restored. Go Back in Time for about 10 minutes and see what it was like to pick up a streetcar to your job at the mines or coke ovens, or your trip back to your company owned patch house in one of many Pennsylvania Towns from the turn of the century until they ceased operations in the 1950-53 Time period The PA Trolley Museum has preserved an original street car right of way and have restored it for short trips. You owe it to yourself to pay a visit to the museum. Visit PA-trolley.org for info and Schedules. It will be well worth your trip. there is another You Tube Called "ride a 1923 Trolley" which is more refined than this, but I was trying to operate in the first person!!! • No very smooth incredibly--although the West Penn Railways and other companies were not into maintenance to the level that the Trolley Museum is. I remember riding trolleys into the south hills of Pittsburgh and being tossed about....

  • What did the guy say, I couldn't quite hear it.. (Just wondering)

  • I have a post card from Arden featuring this PRT car, I have a video of a film shot in the mid 30's, a training film showing the daily routine of the PRT, in this film most of the cars sport this Orange, cream and red paint scheme. I would love to have experienced riding on one of these Peter witt cars, hearing them growl through the tunnels of the Surface lines, and thundering out of the tunnel and over the Market street trestle along side the El trains.

  • wow. neat to see them still in action. Was the ride bumpy ?
