It will be used for their pilot training only and it is also a stepping-stone to gain more experience in designing and building the indigenous one, the war machine can be bought of any market in planet as long as you have money, rich is glorious, China and Chinese people is not a war mongering people and nation, but because of bully this people had been gone through since world war II.

@xsf908 The Varyag will probably carry slight more aircraft than Kuznetsov because they got rid of cruise missiles and the space it occupies. Also fitting a carrier with cruise missile is redundant, asking 1 ship to do too many things while excels at none. That's the problem of Russian carriers compared to U.S ones. Best build advanced destroyers for anti-ship job alone.

This carrier is not threat to enyone

1 ist not nuclear powered super carrier like US navy Nimitz class

2 it can carry only 30-40 aircraft

3 this carrier dont have P-700 granit naval anti ship cruise missiles like its Russian sister Admiral Kuznetsov

4 it stil only one carrier until Chinese build more carriers this ship is useless.
