Disney has gone down the toilet lately, the park is still awesome but the tv shows now suck.
-
I taped both Hey Cinderella and The Frog Prince when the Disney Channel aired them. I still have that tape in my "retro" video library.

Random question: Does anybody remember the name of a Disney tv movie from 1990, which had a scene of a house party, with a bunch of teens dancing? Thanks!

God in heaven what I wouldn't do for someone to kill the Disney execs of today...

@qualityseth I LOVED Avonlea. I watched it for it's entire run on Disney. In Canada they called it The Road To Avonlea.
-
My niece used to love Fraggle Rock, she called it Fwaggle Wock. Her son talked like that when he was three too. He called our dog Lucky Wucky.

remember seeing Tail Spin, when I was younger, and Fraggle Rock on HBO.

what bothers me is how they keep saying here "something for everyone in the family" etc....that was walts thing, for the parents & children to have fun together....what aprent has fun watching miley cyrus/??? I would pay to have this channel.....like I used to..

Jim henson died the month after this
Does anyone have any information on the episode of Talespin shown in this promo? I'm guessing It must be a full episode, maybe the original pilot? Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks.

It looks more like an extended promo, used to sell the show to advertisers...not an entire episode. The pilot episode has none of that stuff.

Yes, I know its not considered to be the true pilot. That was the movie: Plunder and Lightning... but there must be more to it. I wish there was a way to see it all.
Thanks for the info.

I don't actually think there is more to it. It looks completely self contained.
Like I said, it was either something shown to advertisers or perhaps an early version of the intro.

Jim Henson should have came up with his own channel instead of giving all his shows for Disney fo fill up their time slots

He didn't "give" his properties away, he was negotiating to sell the Jim Henson Company to Disney for $150 Million and retain complete creative control. He died around a month after this aired and the deal fell through. Since then Disney has bought the Muppet characters.
