Painting The Posthumous Portrait - Educational Video Preview

Watch as renowned artist and sculptor, Richard R. Miller, takes you through his process of painting a posthumous portrait commission of two of this nations historical icons. A faded black and white snapshot, cluttered and poorly lit, depicts Henry Ford and Doctor George Washington Carver in conversation at Tuskegee University. This is the only reference available that could in some measure, show the relationship of these two gentlemen, their friendship and their mutual respect.

The painting, commissioned by Edsel Ford and the Ford Motor Company, was presented at the dedication ceremony of the new library at Tuskegee University.
