  • So really there just to lazy to put Adobe in

  • @technob0lt He's smiling in his grave

  • Sry, Steve Jobs wasnt totally right about Flash. Flash didnt just "died", Steve Jobs "killed" Flash. Besides, Apple uses the image that Steve Jobs has as propaganda, advertising. Specially now that Steve Jobs died, apple is Abusing on the image that Steve Jobs left. Business is Business. Apple is good, Steve Jobs was a great, but that dosnt means Adobe Flash isnt a great Software. Its just that Apple was (and is) getting more money when they limits the hardware usability. This time, they won...

  • The fact is not weather Flash is good or bad. The fact is that the platform maker (Apple) should let developers (Adobe) buil what they want. Then the marked decides what is good or bad.

In this case we have the platform maker deciding for their own commercial reasons what is good or bad for other developers to build. This is horrible.

  • you know what's funny? I'm seeing this video in HTML5....

  • @Haldered Flash Player on mobile devices. Read it carefully. The reason behind is that AIR will pick up form now on.

  • @MarkMifsud HTML5 is an attempt to mimic Flex contextual components and implement them in HTML. So instead of HTML4 div class tag we have nav tag. Wow what an improvement since most of the pages we open are dynamically generated one way or another. Flash is a virtual machine which gives developers one promise it will behave same way in any environment. Try that with HTML, any HTML.

  • @solomonster22 What was Flash before AIR will pick up. Flash Player in its concept is old. It has very poor persitence, system limitations, lack of support for input devices that mobile world is providing now. AIR solves this, it will grow.

  • Adobe is not discontinuing Flash. They're discontinuing Flash only for smart phones and tablets. Flash will still continue to grow and flourish for desktops - even macs.

FYI - Director isn't even dead (or discontinued), even though I haven't developed with it in years.

Technology doesn't die, but it may eventually stop being used as Mr. Jobs indicated. All people will die though, regardless of the "great" technology that is developed to hopefully increase our lifespan...

  • @MarkMifsud you are so misinformed.
