MooT BooXLe performing on the Synthesizers.com modular analogue synthesizer. This is not a perfect performance, as it was improvised in one go.
Also functioning in this video are the Moogerfooger CP-251, the Roland Space Echo, and Reason drums.
I was controlling the filter cutoff with a CV pedal.
REMIX available NOW at www.myspace.com/mootbooxle !!
Also, I wasn't looking at the camera, in case you were wondering. I was watching computer monitors, which were showing visual feedback on what I was playing. Thanks for watching!!

As an electronic organ player who swears by Wurlitzer electrostatic reeds, Hammond tone wheels, and Conn transistorized individual oscillators, well this video just reinforces the fact that analog is where it is at and where it will always be. Digital is a controller and that's it. Tone generation needs to come from living breathing analog electronics. Large Scale Integrated circuits ( LSI) ruined most of the last organs of the early 80's. Is there anything on the horizon for better LSI in time?

I agree!! There is nothing like the sound of real analog circuitry, and there never will be. I'll have to say about LSI though - I am quite fond of the early 80s Hammond models such as the Aurora. Definitely not the same as electromechanical organs, but a very pleasing sound! I've used the Aurora Classic on a lot of recordings. That said, I have doubts that IC technology will ever improve on the sound of discrete circuitry!

cool, an app that turns MP3 into analog! awesome.

It must be really hard to design a program that can predict the waveform, so you must be reeeeeeally clever - or just trolling.

That is if you exclude the physical limitations of (recording) vinyl. Besides material flexibility during the recording/playback it certainly has its drawbacks regarding quality of sound.

I meant once it's recorded to a digital device. What fullly analog playback devices are used in any mass companies now? Exactly.

There's no such thing as "higher sample rate than vinyl". Vinyl is analogue, therefore it doesn't have any sample rates to speak of.
