Welsh is, in fact, my first language, as is English. Although, you're clearly far too ignorant and stupid to consider I grew up in a Welsh/English part of Wales, where Welsh is much more anglicised. Instead of saying 'rwan' we say 'nawr' and such.
I'm sorry your mind is too small to comprehend the concept of regional dialects of a language, but try and understand, dear, that there is more than one way to speak a language.
Clearly, intelligence is not something you're used to.

You took geography, I took diarrhea.

@TheGearsKeepTurning I'm from America and only know English but its cool to know different languages. My grandma who is dead, was from Ireland and knew some Gaelic, it was pretty cool stuff.
This whole, "everyone should speak English for my convenience" thought is retarded, though it does get annoying when Mexicans just come up to me and assume I know Spanish, I dont! Why would they think that? Im white!!!

@1Beth11 i personally think its great to have your own country language, my dad is from the basque country in spain, he speaks basque i just speak a little bit cause ive been living in mexico since i was 5 and dont practice alot, the government want to stop that language which i think it sucks cause even if its not worldwide is like a little of your own, and also not many people in the basque country speak it mainly because they dont want to learn it which i think it sucks but its their choise

@TheGearsKeepTurning Excellent point. I loved the video. It was fun and informative. The language is absolutely fascinating.

Do you think in Welsh?
I love how non-Welsh people are all like "OMG that's awesome Welsh is amazing!!!".
As someone who was forced into learning this fucking useless and redundant language, it is not amazing. The government is wasting a ridiculous amount of money on it.
Did you know that Welsh speaking schools get a ton more funding than English speaking schools? My friend's Welsh-speaking school literally has LCD TVs lining the walls, and what does my English-speaking school get? A dilapidated building which is lit

@1Beth11
Well I disagree about it being useless and redundant. Under that logic, Belgium should just choose one language. Under that logic, China should be forced into a single language. Enough forward thinking on it, make the entire world just speak English. Unfair much? Ignorant much? Disrespectful much?
As far as funding is concerned, my primary school had ONE computer. An old, crappy thing that BARELY worked. I think we had ONE TV, too. The English schools around me all had computer LABS.

@TheGearsKeepTurning
And also I'm not saying that we should force everyone to only speak English. Welsh is a nice language, it's just being forced on everyone too much. You probably don't see this the way I do because you went to a Welsh school.

@1Beth11
I can understand and sympathise. Scroll down in these comments and see a North Welsh speaker INSULT me outright for not speaking a similar Welsh or as good a Welsh as them. I get insulted by Welsh speakers for being from where I am and speaking a kind of Welsh that isn't as "true" as theirs.
I've also been beaten up for being a Welsh speaker. So I'm stuck in the middle.
However the preservation of the language is because it's a part of our history. Like a statue.

People aren't forced to learn Welsh. Just encouraged. You went to a Welsh school you said. But you left. Your choice.
You have to do MANY subjects in school and acquire skills in those subjects to pass. I hated geography. But I did it til I was 15, then dropped it. Welsh is just like ANY other subject. It's just specific to Welsh schooling. You're forced to learn it as much as French, Geography, History, Religious Studies or Physical Education. It's on the syllabus.
