They ride the pacing horses like that a lot in Pike County. I don't know why I guess for more speed. I wonder something how they see where they are going. i've seen them lay on the horses butts.
Looks like you all some go strait away racing, looked like there some awesome Standarbreds in there.

Okay, looks like fun, I'm sure you guys enjoy this. However, why is it that so many of you have to lean back so far that you're about to to fall off the back of the horse? You look horrible. I have been riding gaited horses for over 10 years now, and man, that kind of position is just waiting for an accident to happen. It's got to throw the horse off and be uncomfortable for both you and the horse.
Oh well. To each his own. Glad you had fun on the ride!

I realize that some people take "lean back on your pockets" to the the extreme, but then again, the form for going 3mph versus 30mph is greatly different:)
