Classic 1970's era commercial from United Airlines. Graduation day at United's stewardess college shows happy young girls and their proud parents as they embark on their new careers in the friendly skies!
'Leaving On A Jet Plane' is heard in the background. The copy reads:
Graduation day at United's stewardess college. It's a happy day for the girls and their parents. Above all it's a day when the friendly skies become even friendlier.
Fly the friendly skies of United.
It's a 60s era commercial, not 70s.

Thanks to all of their pensions being taken away by management

Graduation Day? More Corination Day! The thing that I don't understand is the fact that they're all wearing a wing on their uniforms, yet their collecting their hats! You won't be wearing your hat during service, yet you can always pin your wing onto your apron. Really Great Airline, Really Bad Uniform!
