  • @Philip3119 They are not self-propelled. They are pushed by ex-Southern Pacific GP38-2 that are specially modifed for snow flanger and speader service. Two of these locomotives are used with spreaders, one on each end of the consist. Numerous pictures of them on the interenet...or buy these guy's videos. I have. Railfann

  • Almost to all intents a new train then. Nice job not absolutely Engineered correctly but time has to be taken into account.

  • I was a little disappointed to see them using a torch to blow holes instead of using a mag drill and drilling holes when mounting brackets on the wings. Looks a little like a shortcut that they shouldn't have taken. I also hope they haven't over complicated what was once a fairly basic but very competent set up. It seems like the more electronics, the more chances of failure out in the field. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

  • Do the plows drive themselves or is a push engine required?

  • @bradhig those are used to knock icicles off tunnels and stuff so it doesnt fall onto the train and damage it

  • What are those bars on top of the engines for?

  • When is it going to be released? I have been keeping an eye on ba productions webpage and haven't seen any updates.

  • the differences between the old and newly rebuilt spreaders are quite impressive. Most notably from my point of view (in the seat) is the warmth and the silence of the interior.

    you get that lense unfogged?

  • Good stuff Brendan! Another impressive one to add to the "Winter Professionals" UP on Donner portfolio. Good to find you here on YT since I wanted to see how the 844 vids came out from last April...

  • Another great job on the video Brendan!
