What I dont understand is, when you're sentenced to death, why arent you executed within days or even weeks?Appeals shouldnt be allowed in my opinion. If sentenced to prison, you dont wait to go there! People are on death row for years. I read only 2 women in florida have been executed, ever, so if she is convicted and sentenced to death, doesn't mean she'll be executed, it'll cost more $ too, more than if sentenced to life without parole.
Didn't someone recently say they had gotten tests back on Casey's shoes that were seized and the dirt on the sole matched the dirt at the crime scene? That plus the body found ties Casey directly to dumping the body. Maybe the results comming back from the test on the shoes was what changed things for the prosecution? I'm sure I heard something about that within the past week or two.
Still, there's something/somepart i dont quite understand and wonder what new elements the State has or what their plan behind this is : I am sure i have heard the State state that they WERENT going to go after the DP even AFTER Caylee's remains were found.
Okay...well I guess I can't serve on the jury now cuz I could NEVER impose the death penalty! I say put all criminalsl on an island somewhere and give them no food, shelter or any sort of comfort. They'll either all kill each other, or learn to get along, but they won't be in mainstream society and we, the public won't be paying for their life of luxury in prison!
Possibly, Gr8Hottie. He can still be on the team, though. This might even mean she'll get some extremely good bigshot atty to lead the defense team. The DA must be very certain of a conviction to take this kind of risk.
The prosecuters tried to get rid of Baez by saying that he was going to sell Casey's story, that was proven not to be the case, so this is another way to get rid of him.
