New York - A Coast Guard helicopter rescue crew from Air Station Cape Cod, Mass., medevaced a fisherman suffering from a heart attack from the fishing vessel Shinecock II 65 miles south of Shinnecock Inlet at 3 p.m. March 25, 2007.
The Ronda Denise, a nearby fishing vessel, relayed the distress call from the Shinnecock II to Coast Guard Sector Long Island Sound, New Haven, Conn., at 1:30 p.m.
A Coast Guard HU-25 Falcon jet and HH-60 Jayhawk helicopter were immediately dispatched from Cape Cod. Radio contact with the fishermen was lost shortly after the distress call was relayed yet the air crews were able to locate the vessel in near gale conditions within an hour of launching.
Man theres no way I would work on a boat named Shinecock! Ha Ha Shinecock!! If he wasent having a heart attack on the boat, I bet he damn sure was having one on that lift. Dam that looked dramatic as HELL!! Shinecock ( tee.hee.he )
