@lulututu9899 - The baby has been in "water" for almost 9 months, "breathing" through the umbilical cord. Even after birth, the cord will supply oxygen to the baby until it is brought up out of the water to take it's first breath...

Your family is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for choosing to homebirth and breastfeed your gorgeous children; in doing so you've given them a gift nearly as precious as life. I've had two inductions in the hospital and they were miserable, traumatic experience. I have no idea what real birth feels like. Someday I want to have a homebirth; until then I strive to become a doula and IBCLC. Thanks for being amazing! :)

@emogirl1234ist It's a scale used for home births. Kind of a sling of material that hangs from a scale - baby is placed inside. Very gentle way of weighing them after the birth :)

@taratkd If you go back in the comments, I list the songs and the CD title, but I don't have it near me right now and I've been extremely busy this summer, so hopefully you can find it!

@wendyjeanlouis The only thing I was afraid of before I ever got pregnant, was having an emergency c-section. The idea of surgery always frightens me a little, and is what actually led me to discovering home birth. I was recommended to look into midwives in order to avoid a c-section, and the birth stories I read were simply amazing. These women weren't scared during their births - they were excited! I knew right then that it was the route I wanted to go :)
