Momma knows best!

With fall descending I thought it only right to get in the spirit. October is my favorite month and I always remember fondly coming home from sports practice to find the windows and doors open and the fresh smell of Fall cooling the house rather then the hum of the air conditioning. Mom always took so much care to usher in the season with autumn colors and decorations. Keeping with the family tradition I've done the same and posted this for my mom to see her son at work. It doesn't hold a candle to what my mom is capable of but it is the thought that counts.

Came back to check on you this year again. When we lived in Fla, fall and winter was the pits. Up here now its nice and chilly, leaves turning gorgeous. Last year for corn stalks though, the ultimate mess!

the leaves here have almost finished changing and it's thnaksgiving weekend. i have the fall thanksgiving tablecloth that my mother used when i was a child. i took it when i helped them move last year. don't worry, she didn't want it anymore. i think it's beautiful. hooray for fall and all the crisp brightly coloured glory of it all!

I do think that to appreciate autumn like you do, you have to live somewhere where autumn coming doesn't mean freezing cold rain falling so thick that you're soaked within five minutes. Yeah, we don't celebrate autumn much in Bergen, Norway. ^_^
