Castlevania OoE - Boss Fight - Gravedorcus

Well, he's a little annoying. Once the fight starts, immediately go down to your right, duck or stay just face him and combo Vol Grando on him. Now, once he lands in the sand, he'll appear near you, he'll either smog poison on you or throw some weird bomb(?) on you, anyway, before he does anything, once he rises from the sand, immediately vol grando combo him. then hide at the left of the platform, if the bombs are there, then just vol grando on them, since you're in the left of the platform he'll likely do the first move he launched, but to avoid any damage, immediately go to the right portion again after he submerge after the smog or bomb. Do this repeatedly until he appears in the platform it self, once he does so, got to the right, combo Vol grando once again and while he whacks the platform do a Glyph union, then before he submerge do another VG combo. After this, run to the left most side and do the pattern similar to the platform on the right, although when he appears on the platform this time, you must be in the left portion and use VG combo, Glyph union and VG combo again, immediately after your attack, run to the right part until you see the door, then face him, wait until he jumps, when he jumps, slide beneath him and do the VG Union VG again, he might be dead already by this point. No other Glyph would work best against it except for Vol grando, one Vol Grando deals 100+ damage against him, so the battle won't be long.

how can I level up my owl? collecting more owl's glyph? using the owl in battle?

Both, absorbing more glyphs gets the job done faster, killing enemies would be too long taking around more than 20000 zombies/hits before it gets maxed out.

a better support glyph to have out (instead of the stupid owl) is the one you can get just before entering this boss's room. You can get to the glyph by standing slightly to the left of the bump in the middle of the room and looking right. When the bird comes double jump to your left and then down and B it, giving you another jump so you can make it to the platform. This glyph increases INT and the effect of magical glyphs (meaning Vol Grando hits for more).

@TheSuperforestman You don't get DJ until you beat Maneater in Skeleton Cave which is after you get through that prison. Just try to avoid "coming into the light" or run away if you get spotted.

Nicely done! This boss is a little annoying for me too. The WORST thing he does is that damn poison cloud! Of all the status ailments in this game poison annoys the fuck out of me the most! I HATE bosses that like to inflict status ailments. Anyhoo youd did well. 5/5

It's 7 months and you're no longer at Def 7, but try equipping different bits of gear. I keep equipping high defense gear all the time from the store. Do the ore quests. The heavy armor makes all the difference in a fight.
