Tivo 30 Second Skip

Tivo has a hidden feature where you can skip 30 seconds ahead using the "skip" button. Instead of going to the next tick in the time line, tivo will jump 30 seconds ahead. When your favorite TV show goes to commercial you can hit the 30 second skip button 5-6 times and go past the commercial. When you fast forward through commercials you have to pay attention to make sure you don't go too far, this way you can just keep hitting a button until you back on your show.

It's a simple hack. Play a video you already have recorded and press the following keys on your tivo remote. SELECT - PLAY - SELECT - 3 - 0 - SELECT. Tivo will give you triple beeps to confirm you selection. If you don't like it, just use the keystores again to restore the button to its original use.
