I have the DVDs and whoever it is isn't listed by name, they just fall under the umbrella "Orchestra of Opera national de Paris" title. Being as it was a 2006 production I have no way of knowing, but the current first solo clarinets are Philippe Cuper and Jean-François Verdier, so assuming they were there 3 years ago I would guess one of them is a good bet.

Why in the world is Vitellia applying strange makeup during Sesto's aria? I hate Eurotrash productions!

Eurotrash indeed... I take it, that's an opinion coming from someone well-versed in Eurotrash, or perhaps intimately familiar with trash in general?

I love Susan Graham! She's glorious in this role! Just as good as Kasarova is! Her voice is lighter, but i like both Kasarova's dark tone and Susan's more youthful approach.

Cheers!
