After a few hours of research and checking numerous sources, it turns out Taekkyon was not one of the styles that influenced Taekwondo. :( Damn....I thought I was right all these years. :[

@tyebo87 shin. he's developed the bone in his shin so it doesn't hurt
-
@dwarf2 this is dongyi taekkyon or subalkki, not taichi. it is a traditional northern korean martial art and it doesn't have anything to do with tkd. tkd is from shotokan karate

@MohdSafri89 Being a korean my self, I don't really want to accept it either. However, unfortunately, Korean dynasty or Koryu dynasty didn't survive the invasion of the Mongols.

from wiki
In 1231 the Mongols began its campaigns against Korea and after 25 years of struggle, the royal family relented by signing a treaty with the Mongols. For the following 80 years Goryeo survived, but became a vassal of the Mongol-ruled Yuan Dynasty in China.

um. we koreans were taken over by the mongols. wow.
-
Im so glad you went to this rather than asking me why i said ,what i said. Some of the video shows hand techniques that are very much like tai chi uses for a wrist grab and i like the dance they do, and tai chi is a dance that can be done slow or fast. but i won't waist you time with conversation.
-
Hey i like the tai chi in this video .but what does it have to do with tkd?
-
