Al-Arabiya Footage Confirms Hamas Fired From Building Used By Journalists [English subtitle]

Footage of a presenter on the Arabic language television station Al-Arabiya(العربية) apparently confirms that Hamas fired at least one rocket from close to a building used by journalists during the 22-day conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

The Israel Defense Forces shelled the building, drawing international condemnation, and television networks with offices in the building denied that rockets had been launched from anywhere nearby. [Right, the honesty and reliability of the reporters and news agencies in Gaza huh? Of course, their home offices and international outlets, such as the CNN and so forth, simply eat up the lies and spit them back out for the masses]. The reporter, Al-Arabiya presenter Hanan Al-Masri is caught on camera saying that a Grad rocket had been fired from a location near the studios at Al-Shuruk tower in Gaza City. Al-Masri did not realize that she had been caught on camera.

The production team tells Al-Masri that a rocket has been fired from a nearby location. She then calls someone and says: The rocket that was just fired from here is a Grad? Its as if it was fired from beneath the office. It was very loud. I thought it was bombing but it was a rocket launch.

This is an out-Take of Al-arabiya-TV Reporter Hannan al-Masri learning of an Hamas missile being fired from the ground floor of the building housing the Al-Arabiya studio in Gaza City on January 1, 2009. The video was intercepted by satellite hobbyist.

The video is in arabic,but at 0:26 she actually says, It seems that it came out from under the office.

She is apparently talking to her husband or brother.

Translation :

Journalist : A missile was launched from our place? From here?,it was launched from here!,no, from under our building.

How many? Was the missile launched from under our place a Grad.

The missile was launched just now,it seems like it was launched just outside the office.

It made a big bang,i thought it was an airstrike,but it was a missile.

They launched it from under the office! (Giggles)
