Here's my spoof song! "The Salem Witch Trials" to the tune of "The B*tch of Living" from the musical "Spring Awakening"

Lyrics:

See it's sixteen ninety two in colonial Massachusetts
And the law is finding people guilty of being witches
In the town of Salem many people were sent to jail
Some were even killed and even more just died in jail

The court of Oyer and Terminer were the head of all this mess
Out of twenty six, nineteen were killed and to jail went all the rest
Even more in all New England more then a hundred fifty were accused
Their religion's so extreme, but even then it was abused.

With no evidence at all

Their religion'll never fall

Now each time one was accused, it was because of a complaint.
They'd suspect someone of witchcraft, and they'd call the magistrate
They'd think they caused a death or an illness or a loss
If the claim seemed credible then it'd be brought to a court of law

No real reason to go on
Nothing to go on
The accused are left asking "What went wrong?"

Why d'you think they did this?
Oh who knows?

Sometimes men were put on trial
Like the farmer Giles Corey
The court stacked stones on him till he died
God, that must've been pretty gory

No respect for those on trial
Most were hanged in common trees
They weren't given proper burials
Bodies left there to freeze
