Metallica - Battery Moscow 1991

As a part of the Monsters of Rock tour, Metallica performs a free concert in Moscow at the Tushino Airfield, before a crowd estimated between 750,000 and 1.6 million people. Legend has it that the the President of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev personally invited the band to play at the concert. The concert features also AC/DC and Pantera. More than 1,000 militiamen are on guard around the stage, and more are hidden in trucks parked further away. Their violent methods of controlling crowds leave 53 people injured.

  • Alot of people hate on Metallica nowdays because of things like hetfields voice and their playing an so on. But after watching some old videos i just realised that its the sound that i miss the most. They do not have same old raw guitar sound anymore, and Lars drumset is much smaller and doesnt sound nearly as heavy and good according to me. They should go back to their old "sound". I think that would be awesome. \m/
