Drum therapy students with The British Academy of Sound Therapy playing their newly-made elk-skin drums for the first time. Drum therapy has been shown to reduce stress and improve health and wellbeing. Research has shown that drumming in a certain way increases the amount of Natural Killer Cells in the bloodstream. Lyz Cooper has designed the drum therapy course based on ancient and modern techniques, science and personal experience.
Playing drums is obviously fun and relaxing. Good therapy.
