yes, retouching should definitely be banned. i think readers of magazines would actually appreciate to see normal sized breasts and a pimple here and there.

imo photoshop is ART restricting what it can do is totally wrong. They need to focus their diet ads campaign or whatever you call it to something else like microwave oven. Is heating your food on microwave oven affects your diet and balance of your body?

You can't do that with the model by your side watching... unless you don't give a damn about the model... because it's offending to see what a person doesn't like about you that way :)
