@TheDrummerboi94 tell me about it, i was only in the british army for fifteen years, man and boy. aye, and i was a boy drummer with the 15th Battallion (Scottish) The Parachute Regiment, after that i served with the Royal Signals and the the Military Police. and also, most fairly modern composers of military music are the product of defeated european nations. britain has adopted some of these works.
-
@MrJimmyboy1972 its a military custom that we take the music of those we defeat, as we take their colours and insignia and such, and furthermore most fairly modern composers are mainly european.
-
Yeah brilliant, I guess I shouldn't be correcting people who think the Army Air Corps are the Irish Guards and that the police have cameras hidden in their custodian helmets.
~what's the point~
-
Yes I already knew that, tell that to jonelilinda not me.
I was explaining to MrJimmyboy1972 that the Luftwaffe march is also known as Aces High and is a British march.
Never said the first march was it.
-
@emptyangel The point is that this march is neither - it's called Scarlet and Gold. And, Scarlet and Gold is not the theme tune from the film Battle of Britain.
-
Both 'Aces High' and the 'Luftwaffe March' are the same march. :)
-
@emptyangel Are you sure?! That theme tune was Aces High.
@emptyangel I guess that 's the risk you run when you're a bit of a busy body.
