@AugustusLarch nope

The modern factory load .30-06 does hella damage to targets as well.

@ogrishtm Not sure. It might punch right through it but I don't want to destroy my target to find out!

Were you using JHP or FMJ 9mm? And knowing nothing about the 5.7, is that a FMJ or HP type round you used? I never really gave the 5.7 x 28mm any thought before but I was just looking at a PS90 and it peaked my curiosity.

@GoFyourselfNow1 It has been so long I am not quite sure. I might have been FMJ on the 9mm. The 5.7 ammo was the polymer tip hollow points. The 5.7x28mm has an interesting history if you look it up. Originally it was a NATO commission to create a round to defeat light body armor, which it will do with the right bullet in the cartridge. It comes zinging out of the barrel around 2100-2300 FPS and has some of the ballistic qualities of the .223. It is nothing to sneeze at, it is a serious round.

When does Savage release the 5.7 in the 110 series?

@AugustusLarch I wish I knew. But got to their website and search for rifles by caliber and you will find that the 5.7 x 28mm cartridge is listed and it wasn't there a year or so ago. Let's hope it is soon. I would love a 5.7 varminter and it would be nice to see the ammo come down in cost too.

my friend and I mangled one of those spinners with a .300 win mag and a mosin nagant... the .300 put holes clean through that half inch steel, it was awesome!

@millakilla The target you see in the video got mangled by my brother. He didn't know and he shot it up with his AR-15. Bummer.
