We all knew it was coming: An Azumanga Daioh/FLCL mashup.

This is our first video. We hope you like it. We spent a good bit of time on it, so we hope it was well worth it. The majority of it was done by pirateLEE with help from ITACHIlee. We hope to bring you many great AMVs in the future. Until then, please enjoy our firstborn baby.

Hey everyone. pirateLEE here. I'm sorry for the lack of new videos and the fact the youtube keeps deleting our existing ones. I've been meaning to make a new AMV for a while now but life has been complicated the fast few years and I haven't had the chance to sit down and focus for the 1-2 weeks needed for a new AMV, but hopefully soon I'll be able to get started on a new one. Thank you to all of our fans and keep a weather eye on the horizon for my next AMV.

I never really got the point of AMVs. Anyone care to fill me in on the point of them?

AMV's essentially mean you take existing footage of an anime and cut, trim, edit, re-edit and insert the footage in order to go along, either through timing and rhythmn (like this video) or through tone and lyrical parallels (see Akira BYOB) in order to express how you feel the anime and the song complement each other. I chose this song for this AMV because I felt, by pairing up the two animes and the song, I could convey the sense of random chaos I enjoy in all three.

I've made a few since and I'm taking some time off from college and should start working on some new ones once I find a video editing program I like along with enough energy. These things are hard work! I'm glad you like it, though!
