  • i think what you felt about godliness fits better under virtue. the qualities of godliness are faithfulness, virtue, wisdom, understanding and patience.

  • i think self control has to do with watching your tounge when it comes to witnessing to others or speaking to others about faith, virtue, or knowlege.

  • @lotanddaughters its the guideline for living a religious lifestyle. it does not mater who wrote it or why, what is important is the value the quote entails, a value i based my faith on. id be happy to debate this with you if you dont mind being a little more civil.

  • The book of 2 Peter was written by a LIAR claiming to be Peter. This LIAR wrote 2 Peter to try to reconcile the fact that the Second Coming did not happen as promised. The Bible is an EXTREMELY INCONSISTENT collection of writings. MEN created the concept of a God or Gods. Various MEN wrote the books of the Bible. MEN chose which books to include or omit. The Book of Enoch(1 Enoch) is the 3rd most frequent book found among The Dead Sea Scrolls. However, it is NOT part of today's biblical canon.

  • peter is my insperation. you always make me rethink things and i truly believe if more people were like you . . there would be more believers
