  • With out The Code movies today have become waht they are.

  • @hihosilverlining2 Type in Exstasy hedy lamarr and go to the 9th one with the horses. Ecstasy was a Czechoslovakia movie with Hedy Lamarr that was made in 1933. It took 10 months to be able to show it in the United States. They wouldn't show it because of the swimming scene and because it portrayed sexual intercourse except they only showed the faces and it has also been called the first on-screen depiction of a female orgasm. Germany didn't show it until 1935.

  • @hihosilverlining2 This was why Hollywood started the Motion Picture Production Code. They hired Will H. Hays as the head censor to clean up the movies and it was enforced in 1934 and this movie was made in 1932. In the movie Tarzan which was also made in 1932 there's a part where Jane is swimming and you can see everything, but, the next Tarzan was made in 1934 and she's completely covered.

  • can't believe how revealing her dress was for the time...

  • @windrainziyi Adore gable no matter what ;D
