I live in Nova Scotia & we want to buy LS9-32 for our church where can I get one & price? Shelley

@CarstenLave Not so, the most of the knobs have a fine and coarse setting, by default coarse, press the knob down and you'll get fine.

@kylebike128 try looking on yamaha's website and their FAQ area. Yamaha provides alot of valuable educational resources.

I don't like this mixing board. The Eq gain is in 1dB increments, there faders for FX return, OR The send masters.
There's plenty more I don't like about it, but it might be easier to just say, i like the size and weight.

WE have that board but its 32 chan and i dont know how to get phan power

The 16 channel console is around $4000.00 while the 32 channel versions is around $8000.00.

Its been some time since you got the Yamaha LS9...do you still like it and How much did it cost? We have that same 32 channel Analog board that you were replacing in our church and I'm trying to talk them into a digital board....Thx for response

@christcommunityvideo i heard a recording guy the other day say its all about and average level of -18dB on the input, the first orange light i think, this is to get the best resolution in therms of bit depth coz these desks are'nt fully floating point converters i dont think, so the scale of high resolution is semi fixed (i think it may change when you hear a click when changing gain... or is that just on the m7?) when you run a low input level its like running it at 8-bit...
Acoustic of this room is poor. Demo is greate. Thanks. Do you solve problems with acoustic also?

@ratzzzzigg Yes, we did solve the acoustic problems later on. We added heavy curtains on the side walls which both absorb reflections and block light from the windows when necessary, and we added acoustic absorption panels on the back wall from a company called ATS Acoustics. With the curtains and panels installed, we are now much happier with the room's acoustics.

Just noticed your master fader is at +10 and not unity. Your driving your amps too much with your master fader which is why your mic channel fader is so low, and your only hitting around -30 on your main level meters. If you turn the master back to unity you'll get much more head room out of your channels.

You're right, I just noticed that the board was set this way in the video (it was a borrowed board brought in just for this demo). Not sure why that happened. Now that we have a permanent LS9, we are running the master fader around unity.
