I have come recently to watch and love your videos. I was wondering how Perry is doing now after the whole summer? Your patience with sll the horses you have posted is inspiring! Thank you for sharing them.

Happy to see him under saddle. Just have patience -- he thinks he's retired and will resent the work a bit. Trotting is great for bringing back elasticity to the ligaments and tendons -- just has to be done in small increments over a long period of time to maintain success. It's just amazing how long it takes them to recover! Been there, done that. Everything has to end on a "win" note, even if that "win" means just one step. Sometimes that's all we can ask for, and all we get...

Perry is still his fat happy self. I have not had much time to work with him. After a bit more work he started looking off, vet is pretty sure it is a chronic suspensory. How much pain he is in I do not know, because despite that one 'oops' he really enjoyed and wanted to go. So, who really knows. However, he is enjoying be a pasture pet right now with my old Arabian, Kris.

When a horse rears up what do you do??

Depends on the horse and situation. I do not like to give out advice over a quick little message like this as it can do more harm than good. If you have a trainer you trust it is best to ask them as they are more personally involved with you and any horse you ride.

i ahve a question for everyone and i need help!!!!! would you go for a greenie or an OTTB??? i nees input? personally i know it depends on the horse but generally speaking which is easier to work with? i want to do hunter jumpers and eventing

Depends on your experience of working with either. Both require a lot of work and a lor os experience and knowledge. It also really does depend on the horse as they are all very different and even those simple terms have a wide area of horses included. I would talk to your trainer about the horses and figure out what would be best for you and your situation.
