@Lothlorienne How come you hate her? Apart from the DW crew not telling Freema which way to wear a stethescope.

The doctor trolling Martha Jones at regular intervals is the only reason I was able to get through season 3. God I hate her. The fact that she puts her stethoscope in her ears backwards in the very first episode just ices the cake for me.

At first I'd expected Martha to say "You were fantastic. ...And you know what? So was I." Because that's exactly what she was. She was more than a companion, I think--she was the Doctor's partner, one of the few who could measure up in competency and cleverness. It even looks like the Doctor regrets being so cold toward her while she was accompanying him across time and space. But good for Martha for knowing when to jump ship. Still, I cried.

@SmileChicky To each their own. In the end, Martha had the best ending, she got to walk away from the Doctor, head held up high and content with her decision.

@Emgee78 Yes. Yes I am.

@SmileChicky Now that's insulting; remember she walked the Earth for a year during which the Master was in charge and the Tocfalane ravaged everyone and everything. I doubt she had the luxury of thinking about how her feelings were hurt by the Doctor. She was on a mission, remember? And she said it herself, she watched people get slaughtered. Now you're saying she gave up more by staying behind to pursue her dream of becoming a full-fledged doctor?
-
@Emgee78 She had the opportunity to travel through time and space.. not just across the country or world, the entire UNIVERSE in any point in history or future, and she gave it up cause her feelings got hurt over a boy. btw it's not real, don't be so serious. I just think she gave up more then she would have gained by leaving.

@SmileChicky And if you're the one who came after Rose, not Martha, and he acted the same way towards you? You think your experience and your feelings would be any different? Put yourself in Martha's place. She walked away from that adventurous life to have a life.
-
@Emgee78 travelling through space and time, living an adventurous life with a living legend... i think i'd be ok with taking extra time to work out kins in the relationship :P

@SmileChicky Stupid?? She wasn't getting the respect she deserved from the Doctor, was being treated like second best, and she had a life on Earth. What's so stupid about that?
@KingMinun Petition:
For Freema Agyeman to have her own Doctor Who spinoff with John Simm co-starring.
Freema Agyeman as Martha Jones
