Here is another Equestrian Neightion video showing how to untack a horse. You would untack a horse or pony in the inverse order of how you tacked up: take off the bridle first, then the saddle. Safety first! Make sure you are in a cross tie area or a stall to ensure a safe environment for yourself and your horse.

  • The noseband, or cavesson, is secured under the horse's nose, while the throat latch is secured under the horse's cheeks or jowls.

  • @212lele Not always! If the horse is not sweaty, there is no need. I work at a BJSA yard. i think i know how to un-tack a horse.

  • @horseandpony100 you should always wash off your horse with water after rides

  • when i try to untack horses i can never undo the the buckel under the horses chin (i dont know what its called)
