so if I'm understanding the video right, it seems the middle finger has a LOT to do with aerial busts.
seems that it plays two parts: 1. kinda serves to "toss" the pen in the air to start the aerial, 2. it seems to be the finger that stops the downward motion, before the index starts the next bust
sound about right? i'm having trouble transfering from the catch tothe next bust, i can aerial bust fine, but can't continue busting on the catch

yep thats about right. Timing the aerial is a big part in getting busts after the catch. If you over throw the "air" part then you wont have time to bust after the catch. If you underthrow the "air" part then you pen wont make it around the index to even catch. Notice the angle the pen lands on my index finger as im doing the multiple air busts. =)
