  • @CDMCSD2 It is worse than that. Part of the goal of DRM is to restrict programs and operating systerms on your computer. Because unapproved programs may make "unauthorised" copies..or so they say. This is why Richard Stallman calls it "Digital Restrictions Management."

    This is a core issue of your computing freedom, if DRM is fully implemented in computers (the way it is with game consoles), it will be difficult or impossible to run the operating system or program of your choice.

  • DRM would crash / conflict with the apple itunes thats why its not in there lol

  • What you said is Technically Incorrect. DRM = Digital Rights Management = Encryption of Stream and Information with a Key only known

    to specific people (manufacture...). This way,

    if you copy something, you won't be able to

    play, since you don't have the key.

    What you have mentioned here is another

    technology.
