Faintly Blowing was the second and last Kaleidoscope (UK) album at the time they were active, since the band would change its name to Fairfield Parlour and would change its style to folk progressive rock. Compared with their debut Tangerine Dream, Faintly Blowing is a clear progression in psychedelic techniques and studio wizardry. The songwriting is strong as in their first album, so it has everything to be a good album. If You So Wish is a beautiful song, with great acoustic guitar arrangements, some orchestral arrangements, woodwinds and beautiful vocal arrangements. This is the most beautiful song of the album.

Lyrics:
When the clothes that you wear lose their magic
And the faces you once saw do not remain
When the colour of your face is turning ashen
Then pictures of today you'll see again
When the stairway to your door is dusty
And the staccato footsteps can't be heard
When the telephone dies of loneliness
That is when love will seem absurd
Oh, please change your mind, my time is yours
I will run with the wine, if you so wish
When breakfast in the morning loses meaning
And you take to staying in your bed till noon
That's when evening will turn into nothing
And your nights will never come too soon
When myself I offer, you have forgotten
As you turn down my life and my time
When you're living on your own without purpose
Then you'll realize you should have changed your mind
Oh, please change your mind, my time is yours
I will run with the wine, if you so wish
Oh, please change your mind, my time is yours
I will run with the wine, if you so wish
I will run with the wine, If you so wish
Psychedelia at it's purest. Surreal as if on an LSD trip (don't take that stuff) or lost in a transwarp conduit
