@azimuth457: You have pretty much the same opinion as me on those two songs.

well now you know why they have two singers, because if ryan were to sing the lower parts it would sound like this guy. Dont get me wrong, im not any better and when you sing ryan's parts you were fantastic, but adams parts sounded so bad.

Awesome song by an extremely underrated band

@SchindlerHaughton Underrated is right...their new album was a big change from the old stuff, but still good for the most part! I was hoping for another album I liked as much as Lost and Gone Forever though.

@azimuth457: Their newest album is their worst one yet (not that it's bad or anything, it's just not as good as their other 5); like you said, it's good for the most part, but I'm a little worried about the direction they're going in. Considering that my favorite album by them is Ganging Up On the Sun, which is their previous album (Lost and Gone Forever is #2 on my list), I'm not all that concerned.

@SchindlerHaughton Yeah. I couldn't help but notice the larger importance they put in religion. I know that at least some of them are Jewish, so I was able to see references to religion in some older songs (hence religious songs not being bad), but I am not a big fan of religious songs that lack any sort of metaphorical meaning. I do like a few tracks, but I usually skip over a couple others..

@azimuth457: I noticed it too. There are some blatant Christian themes, even though Adam, Ryan, and Brian are all Jewish. They're kinds of songs which I don't listen to the lyrics of, I just want to hear the song. I don't have a problem with Christian undertones (hence, I like some stuff by The Fray, and I'm a fan of Anberlin), but Guster seemed to put them in with little to no meaning. I think some of it might be first person stories from the POV of a born-again Christian, but I'm not sure.

@SchindlerHaughton Well I think Stay With Me Jesus must be something along those lines. He starts off with 1945...He'd be like 66 years old now. That song in particular, I don't like musically for the most part either, which is pretty much a first for me when it comes to Guster. It could just be the fact that I can't really ignore the lyrics in this one.
Meanwhile I like the music in Jonah a lot!
