He seems like he's just bobbing his head thinking "oooookay, why is he talking to me?" and he was smiling/laughing halfheartedly in disbelief that the reporter was asking such offending questions.

yeah what a way to spin a story....he was giving a "hey" head nod while the reporter was walking towards him. This station must either be a fox affiliate or a big fan of fox news

The guy's body language did indicate that he was interested in answering Spillman's questions, HOWEVER, there's no way the guy knew that Spillman was going to be asking offensive pedantic questions.
