This song is losely based on my chaotic life. I wasn't brought up in Los Angeles, but when you're a kid on the street, it doesn't really matter where your from, just getting by from day to day is the primary concern. Everyone loves the thought of a cute little baby, but when this kid grows up and begins to develop an attitude distinct to himself, his parents won't have any of that to disrupt the facade of their happy home. So it went with me and I was forced out to fend for myself at 13 years old. Happy my world, being shoved from one institution to another. I was a manufactured criminal delinquent, ward of the state, marginal streetkid, spare change panhandler, drug addict, alcoholic, shoplifter, criminal element, dumpster diver, dine-and-dasher, street fighting man etc. Some of you must know what I'm talking about... Especially all ye Krusty Squeegee Punks out there. The backdrop theme of this song is based on an old short story by DH. Lawrence, 'The Rocking Horse Winner'.

  • i don't want to put you down but i believe strongly in the value of truth. i think you need to be able to sing and play sweet sounding stuff before you branch out into more unusual music. if you can't perform simple things well then you'll never nail odd melodies. at present i dont' think youre good enough to pull off the sort of things you're attempting. i could be wrong but it seems you have tried to bypass cliches and headed straight for innovative; it doesn't work like that!

  • Okay Mr Music AUthority, woe. I didn't try to by pass anything. The song comes in my head and I write it. If I sat around worrying about whether I'm good enough, (I don't know what it is I'm suposed to be good enough 4) I'd probably never write it.

  • I ain't trying to sell anything or be a big rock star. I just love expressing myself threw music. That is why u found my stuff on youtube instead of in a HMV. Some ppl really like my stuff some ppl don't. Perhaps when your critiqing someones stuff u should'nt speak 4 everyone, declaring that the artist is not good enough. Good enough 4 what???

  • i'm all for non commercial self expression. and i'm not saying you're not good enough as a person. you are! but i'm merely making the point that in order to be unusual you have to have nailed usual first. i believe that anyway. i'm not speaking for everyone. music is music. if you're unconcerned by technical excellence then that's up to you but you could be so much better!

  • I like this one and the singing is nice and clear, you can really follow the lyrics. We'll work on the drums and fix it up.

  • Yea Man. It's rough out there in the concrete jungle. If we could just be in some nature for our minds and souls to thrive, but the land is bought and sold. It's bad and the Creator is not welcome in mans 'recreation'. Blessings! Love You! Auntie Deb
