This is the second video of my custom Paia 9700 synthesizer. The video is realy just me fooling around with the synth and a couple of sequencers.

It is surprising how cool the Paia is and how affordable is was to purchase. If you are handy with a soldering iron and are comfortable troubleshooting a schematic I would totally recommend this synth!

  • The sequencer is actually a 3X8 or a 24 step sequencer and how hard is relative. I would say it is about as hard as assembling the PAIA 9700 itself. It is a much simpler group of circuits but there is no real template so you have to DIY the design.

  • Interesting layout on the kit there ;) nice complex patch.

Just a question, how hard was the 16 step sequencer at the top to build?

  • And Thanks for the comment!

  • Starting at 1:07, when the bass begins to clip, it sounds amazing. Makes me think about mic placement when dealing with synthesizers, instead of running direct. Cool patch too, it sounds very unique for a modular patch.

  • cool :). i might attempt that one later
