  • We can all still learn many lessons from John D if we will only listen to his words and take them into our hearts.

  • that's one reason he did so many documentaries about Alaska, the Eagles and hawks in Idaho, the bighorn sheep ,just to name a few..to teach the people of this planet about so many things..and working hard for peace, hating the mess from the Exxon oil spill in Prince William sound (did the video to show some of the consequences of it)..he spoke for Mother Earth and everyone on it shouting"WAKE UP PEOPLE!!! PROTECT IT NOW!!!"

  • @angusyoung111 Count me in too

  • So wise words and such a beautiful and meaningful song. This is John Denver's legacy. :)

  • I wonder what John would say about the disaster we had in our Gulf of Mexico with the oil company this summer. It will be years before we know just how bad the damage will be. Our people on the west coast of Florida all the way to Louisiana lost so much this summer. People were afraid to come down afraid of the oil on the beaches. It is the Exon Valdez all over again. John, you are missed in so many ways.

  • To live in the hearts of those you have left behind - is to never die!!

John, we wish you peace!!! I will always miss the music that was to be!

  • One of my favourites of John's songs. I miss him greatly, some of his songs will be played at my funeral.

  • Amazing!

  • every song he sings is so uplifting and makes me feel it's like he knows what is inside my head

  • I love this song- my favorite of his, off my 'Portrait' double cd. I prefer the studio version. This song really typifies his message of cherishing nature and living life to its fullest through yet another rich and haunting melody.

  • "And I can see the future killing me." How haunting...
