This song has always been one of my personal favorites, and it tells a story from Cane's POV about how his heart was broken because of the secrets he kept from Lily. I love the line in the song that says "How can you heal this broken man?" Because once the truth came out to everyone (especially to Lily) Cane became a broken man. I also love the line that says "I was never told about the sorrow" Cane never meant to cause pain for Lily. He just wanted to make her happy and to love her unconditionally with all his heart, mind and soul. With time, love and understanding, Cane's broken heart will mend and he will be happy again with Lily.
