Stasha Gominak, MD, neurologist, discusses Vitamin D and sleep-related issues at "A Cardiac Event," an educational symposium for medical professionals held January 2011 at East Texas Medical Center, Tyler, TX. The event was sponsored by the ETMC Cardiovascular institute. Video presented by http://etmc.org
Thank you for this Stasha! You're awesome! This is what I've been speculating awhile now. I have narcolepsy+possible sleep apnea+insomnia (wake numerous times during the night). My vit D level is near deficient @ 36. Also recently dx'd w/mild hypothyroidism (4.9). Yesterday I was thinking vit D MUST have some connection to thyroid function. My reasoning: We make vit D from the sun, sun=energy, thyroid controls energy! I'm confident when my D level is normal everything else will fall into place!

Conspiracy, yes. They would set the FDA to 1 IU/day of vitamin D if they could. Hey why not, more profits right? Grrrr.
