Meet the Twins Sumatran Orangutans born from parents who are both blind. This story reflects the drama of our closest relative on the brink of extinction. The PANECO and YEL organizations are looking for sponsors to build a facility for handicapped or traumatized Sumatran Orangutans that cannot be released into the wild.

  • Such wonderful work you are doing to help these gorgeous creatures. I am ashamed we as humans are destroying their natural habitats. Well done to all of your team.

  • OMG how totally cruel can humans be !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The Rawa Kuno Legacy Forest allows people who enjoy this video and like orangutans to directly participate in saving rainforest as natural habitat and future orangutan sanctuary. Please help and donate to orangutan organizations!

  • DAMN HUMANS!!!!

  • So did anyone record how the birth went. Very curious on how they handle twins especially blind as well as how can she groom, etc?

  • What is the sex of the two twins?

  • In July 2011 I was allowed to visit the centre in Sumatra and after careful advice I saw the twins and her mum with my own eyes. A truely lifechanging experience! Ian is such an inspiration, incredibly knowledgable, and just DOES when others just talk. I saw the big socialisation cages, how happy the orangutans were despite the trauma they lived through. These guys have a real chance and deserve support, there is a donation page on the SOCP website - Please google and learn more

  • How precious to see the twins as well as heart breaking to learn about senseless cruelty, especially to such gentle creatures as the orangutan. I hope everyone who is touched by this video will make a donation to an orangutan charity.

  • Puts some humans in a very poor light indeed in the face of these gentle civilised orang utans.
