I Have to keep this short, so I can't go into everything I want to say, but I'm afraid I disagree with you. I think you spoke in a way that was poetic and eloquent and persuasive, so you will get a lot of positive feedback. But although I agree with some of what you said, I disagree with the part about medicine. Before medicine and improved nutrition, humans rarely lived to their thirties. Are you happy with the thought of naturally dying in your late twenties?

i never thought or acknowledged that alzheimer's and dementia might be the result of living too long...in other words, our minds expire and are kept in the icebox waaay past the experation date, instead of throwing in away and let life continue on without us.
i think as humans, we are afraid of missing out and being left behind, and we believe in things like love in the hopes that the cosmos are holding a secret from us..trying not to spoil the ending of this great novel called life.

Animals feel affection. "Love" isn't exactly HUMAN. The word is, but the emotion isn't necessarily human. We also aren't the only animals to mate for life. And to stay together for an entire lifetime requires at least some affection. Love, and all emotions, are the products of evolution. We also aren't the only animals to commit suicide...we've just made a rather unhealthy habit of it...

Also, all animals have preferences on appearances. Though in humans its also a cultural thing.

i agree, but if it was possible to keep a loved one alive longer, even if they couldnt remember everything and were losing grip wouldnt you still want them to live? do u believe in life after death?
but what u sed about hair was a teensy bit hypocritical... I LOVE UR HAIR BTW
ciao
