This is a version of Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother written by Ray Wylie Hubbard, and made famous by Jerry Jeff Walker. Ive played various versions of this song since I was 13 or 14 years old, it is one of my favorites. As usual Im tuned down 1/2 step to help my amateur vocals. I recorded and mixed 6 tracks on my Tascam DP-004 multi-track recorder. Two acoustic rhythm tracks using my Fender 140SCE thru an Acoustic AG30 amp, another background track using my Johnson Resonator that I micd thru the PA, a bass track using a Peavey Millennium BXP Bass thru a GK Backline 110, a drum track on an Alesis SR-16, and a vocal track using a Shure SM-58 hooked to a Behringer Xenyx 1202FX board thru an original Peavey MP-4 PA I bought in 1979. I got a new Flip video camera for Christmas, and recorded the scratch track, and the actual recording of the resonator track, that I laid over the final mixed audio track, its not perfect, but its not bad. I just got a Lace resonator pickup that I need to install, so I wont have to mic my resonator guitar in the future. Ive got set of stage lights that we have for use in our band, I figure why go to waste sitting in a corner, so I use them, I hope this video doesnt seem too much like amateur hour with the flashing stage lights and all. Hope you like it, and thanks for watching.
Nice job! Love the song, keep up the good work.

Actually your vocals are great. I love this song. It brings back memories of the days when I lived in Texas :-)

Thank you. It reminds me of many of the rough old honky tonks that I spent way to much time in when I was younger.
