I cannot EVER recommend getting a student loan if you can avoid it. With my experience today I would rather have sold a kidney. I am paying over $700 a month and have no prospects of ever being able to pay it off. Remember Kiddies, you cannot declare bankruptcy on them and they carry on in perpetuity -- which means they can go after your family even if you die.

it took me 10 years to pay off my loans and I had no mother or father to help me out--- 300 Cdn a month for 10 years.
I really struggled and it took me to my mid 30s to save enough for a house.
Education is about investment for the future of our country not for an indebted generation.
