Flo was offered a contract during the motown meeting where she was voted out but she cussed them out and said she would go else where if she wouldve taken the contract things wouldve been diffrent for her.

@6271949 In Mary Wilson's second book, Supreme Faith, she stated that, unlike Diana and her, Flo could not allow herself to slip in between the black world they grew up in and the white world they later conquered musically - A lot of Flo's problems might have been internal, but her external problems (missing concert and recording dates, bickering with Diana and Berry) only compounded her internal ones-

One cannot help but imagine what great sounds would have followed had Flo remained with the Supremes. She certainly had problems, but considering the circumstances and the musical degrading she suffered, I can't blame her for leaving in disgust. Nonetheless, had Barry demonstrated a more caring attitude, thing would have been different in my opinion.

@stevie68a Just for the record, Flo never left the Supremes, she was voted out, presumably by both Diana and Mary - In Mid-1967, there was a sit-down meeting with Flo and her mother, Lurlee, Mary Wilson, Diana Ross, Berry Gordy, and two of BG's bodyguards - BG was explaining to Flo and her mom about all the concert and recording dates Flo kept missing and that it was costing them money- Mary had the deciding vote on Flo by saying she wanted her in the group, but Flo no longer wanted them-

Gordy was right to speed it up. This version pales to the one released.

Mr. Gordy, if you read these posts, I hated Flo leaving. Mary & Flo were more loved

than you knew, and should have been given more to do. (horrible to have their mikes turned down!). There was no need for the name change either.(could you imagine
