YB Rants: The Commentary "Community"

Well, I haven't made a rant in a while. But I encountered a predicament. For this particular rant, I had major difficulties writing a script for this. And I tried three times to write a coherent script, but I just could not write a full one. So I decided to go solo without a script.

These are just my gripes about the commentary community. I noticed I sound ten times bitchier in this one than previous rants. I guess I was pretty pissed off at the time of recording. Please excuse the length of this rant, but I was a bit peeved about the whole community and I just wanted to get everything off my chest.

That's all there is to it. Hope you guys enjoy this monster.

@MrSirRaven Well, you didn't mess up as much as you just latched onto an old subject. By looking at your video you seem to have a unique edge and I'm sure if you practice, you will improve. Not everyone is perfect the first time, so I won't crucify you for it.

Unless the person your doing a commentary on absolutely doesnt listen to anything, then I can understand doing a commentary. But there's no point of making fun of them, thats kind of sad actually if you used time out of your life to make a commentary on someone just to insult them. If they don't take advice, then dont even bother with them.

I find it annoying that people even make commentaries. If you dont like a video, then just leave a comment instead of making a whole video about it. Seriously, its just wasting your time.

You are a rare example of immense insight and common sense that I've seen on this site, and I thank you for making this video. Also, I firmly believe in editing/scripting reviews (or whatever other videos one makes), although I make unscripted videos on occasion (like updates, gameplay bits, and other things). It's good to know I'm not the only person daring to be bold and distinct from the herd, the diamonds underneath the autumn leaves, and so forth. Keep up the good work, man. :)

Excellent job with this rant; you've piqued my interest in your works, so I subbed you. :) In any event, I'm a reviewer (of anime, and the occasional Western animation, installments) and not a commentator (although reviews do have commentary to a certain degree, but I digress); I completely agree with your point about being original (and hilarious, in the process). I try my best in my reviews to balance insight and entertainment, while being fair (though harsh) to said installments.
