I don't think it is really an issue. Obviously you don't do a church gig and try to convert people to atheism. No big deal. But there is definitely a stereotype that atheists are evil, which is just silly. A good person is a good person. Good people come from all religions and lack of religion. Religion can be evil too! Westboro Baptist Church. 'Nuff said.
